The Old Casino of Arad is an important monument of local importance, built in 1872. Showcasing eclectic architecture with elements from both Neo-Baroque and Neo-Classicism styles combining to form its quadratic form; on each front side ifluted pilasters with Corinthian capitals stand out on all four fronts; it was used for social and cultural events during its original purpose as both summer gardens were provided while its front square functioned as an outdoor skating rink during winter months.
Recent years, this building have undergone numerous renovations with the main objective being reusing it as an event center and restoring its luxurious interiors. While this project presented several challenges including architectural ones and structural ones (finish damage, structure issues and paint peeling), an effective intervention solution was found that brought this monumental structure back to life.
